COP16: Biodiversity, Markets and Livelihoods: Enterprises that respect nature and promote the autonomy of communities in their territories

(English)

This event is designed to foster open and honest dialogue between communities engaged in green businesses and the environmental organizations that support and promote them. It will critically and constructively explore the complex relationships and tensions among biodiversity, landscapes, markets, and livelihoods through real-life case studies from various sectors, including cocoa, non-timber forest products, tourism, and beekeeping, along with their ecosystem services. The outcome will be a clear understanding of the different trajectories that these relationships can take with respect to various markets.
